Where to Eat in London

WHERE TO EAT IN LONDON

London has some of the best restaurants in the world, and there is something to suit every taste and budget. In this blog post, I’ll be highlighting some of the best restaurants in London, according to me, for brunch, pizza, Indian, and Italian cuisine. I should probably add that I’m vegetarian, and each one of the restaurants that I’m going to mention have vegetarian options.

Brunch

For brunch lovers, London has plenty of options. Two of my favorite brunch spots in London are The Ivy, in Chelsea. The food is very good, and the staff is always kind. It has several locations throughout London and is known for its delicious breakfast dishes as well. Linnean Living, on the other hand, is a lifestyle destination, where you can treat yourself and have a relaxing day. In fact, there is a beauty salon, and a lovely restaurant. And side note, if you’re on Instagram, the Ivy and Linnean Living are both instagramable restaurants in London (check out this post, I took some of the pictures at Linnean Living).

Pizza

If you’re in the mood for pizza, there are plenty of great options in London. One of the best pizza restaurants I’ve tried, in the city and in general, is 50 Kalò, which has several locations throughout London.

Indian

London is known for its fantastic Indian cuisine, and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. One of the best Indian restaurants is Masala Zone, we’ve tried the one in Soho, but there is another in Covent Garden. The restaurant serves a range of Indian dishes, made using traditional Indian cooking techniques.

Italian

Finally, if you’re in the mood for Italian cuisine, head to Chelsea to visit La mia Mamma. This cozy Italian restaurant serves a range of Italian dishes from different areas of Italy. I must say, we were very impressed with the Roman gnocchi and their Tiramisù. The restaurant has a rustic and intimate atmosphere, making it the perfect place for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. I loved the family vibe from the place, Mamma Ida came to greet us and she made us feel welcome and treated us like an Italian mom would.

On-the-go food

For those who prefer not to sit down at a restaurant, London also has plenty of options for on-the-go food. Two popular options for quick bites are Gails and Prét a Manger. Gail’s is a bakery and café chain that has several locations throughout London. They offer a range of baked goods, including pastries, bread, cakes, and sandwiches. Gail’s also serves coffee, tea, and other drinks, making it the perfect place to stop for a quick snack or a takeaway coffee. Prét a Manger is another popular chain that has locations all over London, as well as in other cities around the world. They offer a range of sandwiches, salads, wraps, and other light bites that are perfect for eating on-the-go. Prét a Manger also has a range of vegetarian and vegan options, making it a great choice for those with dietary restrictions like myself (I’m vegetarian). Both Gail’s and Prét a Manger are known for their high-quality, fresh ingredients and commitment to sustainability. They use locally sourced and organic ingredients whenever possible and have implemented several initiatives to reduce waste and promote sustainability.

In conclusion, for those who prefer to eat on-the-go, Gail’s and Pret a Manger are two great options to consider. With their focus on quality ingredients and sustainability, you can feel good about your food choices while enjoying delicious snacks and light bites as you explore all that London has to offer.

I’d love to hear your thoughts about it, if you already knew the places mentioned in the post, or if you’ve been there. And if you want to suggest other restaurants in London, I’d love to know about them too, so feel free to leave a comment.
