How to recognize a real Louis Vuitton – Come riconoscere una Louis Vuitton originale

Can you recognize a real Louis Vuitton? In this post I’m going to show you how to recognize Louis Vuitton bags , it will be useful if you are buying a secondhand Louis Vuitton or if you found yourself staring at other people’s handbags and wondered if those are real or not (I admit, I do that all the time).

• I’m going to show you the Louis Vuitton Azur Damier Speedy 35 and the Alma Monogram, but the principle is the same for every bag Louis Vuitton has ever made. I’ve used the dots and circles to help you understand. Let’s start with the Speedy 35 Azur Damier:

All you need to do is look at the design and the seams, you’ll see that it will be exactly the same on each side. Look at the picture below and you’ll see it yourself.  In the picture below the “Louis Vuitton” squares are both at the sixth square starting from the top of the bag. And the squares around the handles are the same colors and the same cuts.

You can see the seams more clearly in the picture below. You see that where there is a blue square on the left seam there is also a blue square on the right seam, and that goes with every Louis Vuitton bag.

You can also need to check the first squares under the zipper, as you can see in the picture below.

The same process can be applied to the Louis Vuitton Monogram bags, instead of the squares you have to look for the LV and the other designs, and they have to match on each side just before the seams and the zipper.

You also need to look for a code inside because every original Louis Vuitton has one. Also the quality of the real LV bag is way higher, most of the times the fake Louis Vuitton are made of plastic. If you are buying from authorized Louis Vuitton stores you will always find real Louis Vuitton purses, but this guide is useful if you are buying secondhand or from the internet.

Come riconoscere una Louis Vuitton originale?  Vi spiego subito come distinguere una Louis Vuitton vera da una falsa. Questa guida può tornarvi utile se volete acquistare una Louis Vuitton su internet oppure una usata. O magari vi trovate spesso a fissare le borse degli altri cercando di capire se sono vere (lo ammetto, mi capita spesso).

• Vi mostrerò una Speedy 35 Damier e un’ Alma Monogram, ma il principio è lo stesso per ogni borsa Louis Vuitton. Ho un po’ scarabocchiato le foto,  in modo da rendere più facile capire come funziona. Cominciamo: come riconoscere una Louis Vuitton Speedy.

Dovete guardare il disegno e le cuciture. Vedrete infatti che lungo le cuciture di tutti i lati ci sono i quadrati dello stesso colore, questo succede anche intorno ai manici e alla chiusura lampo: il disegno deve combaciare. Nella foto di sotto potete vedere le parti che ho segnato.

• Nella foto di sotto potete vedere le cuciture al lato della borsa, anche queste sono uguali. La tela è tagliata nello stesso punto su entrambi i lati, è un lavoro di precisione che non viene fatto sulle borse. Per riconoscere una Louis Vuitton falsa vale questo principio: se su un lato c’è un quadrato blu, deve esserci un quadrato blu anche sull’altro lato.

Bisogna guardare anche i quadrati intorno alla chiusura lampo, anche questi devono essere uguali su entrambi i lati.

Lo stesso procedimento si applica per le Louis Vuitton Monogram, solo che al posto dei quadratini ci sono le lettere LV e i simboli. Credo che la Speedy Monogram sia in assoluto la borsa con più imitazioni nel mercato del falso, perciò cerchiamo di capire come riconoscere una borsa originale Monogram.

Anche in questo caso bisogna vedere se i disegni sono gli stessi lungo le cuciture. 

• Un altro indizio è il codice: tutte le borse Louis Vuitton ne hanno uno all’interno, non esiste una Louis Vuitton senza codice. Perciò se state acquistando online, una volta che avete osservato tutte le cuciture, cercate una foto che mostri il codice. Se invece siete intenzionati ad acquistarne una usata, sarà sufficiente aprire la borsa e guardare con un po’ di attenzione al suo interno.

La qualità delle borse false è decisamente inferiore rispetto a quelle originali. Se acquistate una Louis Vuitton presso i punti vendita autorizzati, non avete nulla di cui preoccuparvi.
