Emerging Designers Made in Italy

Those who have been following me probably know that I’ve never been able to participate to Fashion Weeks because of my university schedule. But this year,  after graduation, I was finally able to go to the fair White during Milan Fashion Week. I’m going to tell you about some emerging designers who deserve attention for their originality and their high quality. Handbags will be the main topic of this article, the designers are all young women and the collections are all made in Italy.

Andrea Insua is from Guatemala, she moved to Italy in order to study Technical Design. The brand has got her name: the fabric is from in Guatemala and then the handbags are made in Italy because she wanted to unite both cultures. Andrea Insua’s collections are for every occasion, and always elegant.

The collection with the embroidery animals was made for this Fashion Week, the jaguar is part of the Guatemalan culture. You can see the handbags in the pictures below.

Demanumea is a brand that has an interesting collaboration between artists and designer. The result is an unique handbag, because the shapes are original and each handbag is hand painted by an expert artist. When I first saw these handbags I thought that the painting was so perfectly done, for this reason it might be mistaken for a printed work. In this way you can wear an handbag that no one else has, because each handbag is unique.

At the fair there was also one of the Demanumea’s artists who was painting a bag, we stopped to observe him.

Irma Cipolletta is a designer who started her career as an architect, and then decided to start her own fashion brand. Her designs are geometric and the colors are bright, I would say that her bags have a  modern style. Some of the bags are designed to have their shape changed.

Irma Cipolletta was also given an Inside Award during the White fair.
